Suck it up and learn both ways to measure
Переглядів 1,1 тис.5 років тому
Just a little rant about how both ways we use to measure still kind of suck but we need to learn both ways if we're going to be successful.

This works only if the keyholes are the same distance from the top of the picture. In most cases they are installed in a wood frame and are misaligned. If so this method will not work since your flipping the tape around.

The line of doohickeys are pretty great. Just like with simple pocket knives (not "tactical folders") they are more useful than people seem to initially think.

I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B

I think using both are good. Like when u are shopping for parts online when its in both u can tell the bs. If they only use 1 measurement system there is more chance of bs. I like using mm for fine measurements but sometimes inches can actually result in even finer measurements than mm depending on the situation. And sometimes the measurements match up, like a meter is almost the same as a yard and a quart is almost the same as a liter.

Well yeah, but who daisy chains cords with tight azz loops like that? Hands down a daisy chain is the #1 way to wrap cords on any construction site, and if done properly will do N0 harm to cords, cables and even hoses. IMHO

  • @Stevelemontrudy

Nice trick! Here's how I do it...Take your original number of 5 and 3/4. Divide the 5 in half and disregard the remainder, so you'll get 2 just like in your example. Then, and here's the kicker, add your top and bottom number of the fraction, in this case 3+4=7. Then just change the original bottom number to the next smallest increment, which would be 8ths. Here's another one. 9 and 5/8. 9 divided by 2 = 4 (again, ignore the remainder) (add the fraction which is 5+8 = 13 Bump the 8ths down to 16ths and you have your answer of 4 and 13/16.

Me too!! I’ve been sawing 4x4x10 into octagon shapes to use for my horses jumping poles and since I’m not “spatial” they always come out asymmetrical and crazy looking. It doesn’t alter their intended purpose, but it drives me crazy!! Just bought more lumber today and will working on them tomorrow. So excited!!
